Most people do not realize just what a great shopping experience Patong has to offer. Phuket is famed for its beaches, coastline, food and nightlife, not its shopping. When it comes to modern shopping facilities, Jungceylon is the best that Patong has to offer. This large shopping mall and entertainment complex is one of the newest in Thailand. The complex houses over 300 different stores and entertainment venues, including bowling alleys, restaurants, bars and two cinemas. Major retailers include Carrefour, and a large Food Court.

The Central Festival string of shopping malls are well known in Thailand, you will find one close to every large tourist area including Bangkok and Pattaya. The Phuket Central Festival is the newest, and arguably the best. Although not actually in Patong, there is a free shuttle bus operating three times a day from Patong.
Central Festival is also the only Phuket mall which contains such a huge range of well-known western retail outlets, including Marks & Spencer, the only one on Phuket and possibly in Southern Thailand.

Phuket Night Market, which also goes by the name of Jatujak Market is one of the best examples of its kind to be found in Southern Thailand.

Banzaan Market is a food market, with almost every stall selling fresh organic produce from all over Thailand. The highlight is without a doubt the locally caught seafood.
